Cycling routes

For cycling lovers, the Costa Brava offers a variety of routes ranging from gentle seaside rides to challenging inland hill climbs. In Roses and its surroundings, you will find multiple all-terrain bicycle (MTB) routes with different levels of difficulty.

Cap de Creus

Route of 70 km and more than 1,600 meters of positive slope, quite technical and demanding, that runs through Cap de Creus. During this route you can visit the picturesque town of Cadaqués; the Cap de Creus Lighthouse, located in the easternmost area of the Iberian Peninsula, and the emblematic town of Port de la Selva.

Serra de Rodes

Route of 46 km and 800 meters of positive slope of moderate technical difficulty that runs through the Sierra de Rodes. Along this route you can visit the towns of Port de la Selva and Llançà. You can also take the opportunity to visit the imposing monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes.

Aiguamolls de l’Empordà

Route of less than 20 kilometers with practically no slope that runs through the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà, one of the main wetlands in Catalonia. They are located between the mouths of the Fluvià and Muga rivers, in the towns of Roses and Castelló d'Empúries.
